As an international student from Taiwan, majoring in graphic design at St. Norbert College in Wisconsin. When I was a high school student in Taiwan exploring its night markets, I noticed that the shoppers’ first impressions of the products’ package designs had a strong influence on their decision to try and buy the products. After realizing that graphic design is not appreciated nor well-taught in Taiwan, I left my home country to pursue an education in the field in the United States. Originally what I strive to do when I create a piece is to have the audience be just as involved in my piece as I was when creating it. Letting people to like my work gave me a sense of accomplishment and it helps me continue to create works. When I creating my work, I can express myself to try new concept or making something different outcomes. Most of my works are inspired by things around myself or ideas relate to my culture. However, I am hoping to find my own designing style in the future where I could be inspired by looking at other designer’s work and learn from feedback for other designers as well.
